Jordan Howden could hardly contain his excitement when the Saints head coach called to welcome him to the team. The room was full of energy with family and friends all around trying to contain their excitement. We were honored to capture such a pivotal moment in real-time.
A lifelong Saints fan, Howden was thrilled at the opportunity to suit up in the black and gold. He put in years of hard work as a multi-sport athlete in high school, starring in football, basketball and track. But it was on the gridiron where he truly shined. As a safety at the University of Minnesota, Howden was known for his tough, physical play and his nose for the football. He was a team captain his senior year and helped lead the Gophers to a Big Ten championship. His draft stock rose after impressive showings at the NFL Combine and Minnesota's pro day.
Now in New Orleans, Howden is ready to bolster the Saints' secondary. With his hard-hitting style and playmaking ability, he has been an immediate contributor on defense and special teams.
